Holi Is a Festival of Harmony, Affection and Forgetting Differences: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai
Raipur, March 2026 : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai participated today in the Holi Milan ceremony “Rangotsav” and the “Mahamoorkh Sammelan 2026” organised by the Raipur Press Club. Extending his Holi greetings to the people of the state, the Chief Minister said that Holi is not merely a festival of colours, but a sacred occasion that strengthens mutual love, harmony and brotherhood. He said the festival inspires people to forget minor differences and grievances and to renew and strengthen relationships.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sai said that the Raipur Press Club has a proud tradition of celebrating festivals together. For years, the Press Club has been working to reinforce social harmony through Holi Milan functions and cultural programmes, and this tradition should continue in the future as well. He expressed his gratitude to the Press Club family and wished that this joyous festival would bring new energy, enthusiasm and positivity into everyone’s lives.
During the programme, members of the Raipur Press Club gave the Chief Minister a warm and unique welcome by adorning him with a garland of chillies and presenting him with a trident-shaped water gun. The Chief Minister also released the Press Club’s Holi special publication, “Nonsense Times.”
Chief Minister Plays the Naghara, Journalists Join the Festive Cheer
A special moment of excitement and joy was witnessed at the Holi Milan ceremony when Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai himself played the traditional naghara drum, doubling the festive enthusiasm. As he played the drum, journalists and guests present at the venue responded with loud applause, and waves of joy swept across the entire परिसर. Accompanied by the beats of traditional drums, the Chief Minister joined fellow journalists in singing Phag songs and celebrating the spirit of Holi. The programme presented a beautiful confluence of music, culture and mutual brotherhood.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Mr. Pankaj Jha, Advisor Mr. R. Krishna Das, Rajnandgaon Member of Parliament Mr. Santosh Pandey, MLAs Mr. Sunil Soni and Mr. Motilal Sahu, Raipur Press Club President Mr. Mohan Tiwari, along with senior journalists, public representatives, officials and distinguished citizens, were present.
