War-like Situation in Gulf Countries: State Coordinates with Centre to Assist Stranded Citizens

Mumbai, March 2026 : In view of the war-like situation that has emerged in the Gulf countries, the Maharashtra government has initiated urgent measures to ensure the safety of citizens from the state who are stranded in the region. The state administration is in constant touch with Maharashtrian citizens residing in various countries and is taking all necessary steps to provide them assistance.

The state government is also coordinating closely with the Central Government to secure all required help and cooperation. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is personally monitoring the situation closely and is in continuous contact with the concerned Indian embassies, the Ministry of External Affairs, and other relevant agencies.

Chief Minister Fadnavis has directed Minister Girish Mahajan to oversee and actively participate in the coordination efforts related to this matter. The Central Government is extending full support to the Maharashtra government, and necessary action is underway to ensure the safe return of stranded citizens.

With the support of the Indian People’s Forum in Dubai, the Maharashtra government has issued a special WhatsApp number for assistance. Citizens who are facing difficulties or require help in the Gulf countries are urged to contact via WhatsApp at +971 50 365 4357.

The state government has reaffirmed that it stands firmly with its citizens and that ensuring their safety remains its highest priority.
