XSIO Should Play a Key Role in Developing Nagpur as an Industrial Magnet – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Foundation stone laid for Maharashtra’s first XSIO Intelligence-Integrated Advanced Industrial and Manufacturing Park

Nagpur, March 2026 : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the XSIO company should play an important role in developing Nagpur as an industrial magnet and boosting the growth of the Vidarbha region. He noted that the state government’s industry-friendly policies are helping the manufacturing sector move in a positive direction and creating new opportunities for industrial development.

The Chief Minister was speaking after laying the foundation stone of Maharashtra’s first XSIO Intelligence-Integrated Advanced Industrial and Manufacturing Park at Linga, located on the Nagpur–Amravati Highway.

On the occasion, Revenue Minister and Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Minister of State for Finance and Planning Adv. Ashish Jaiswal, MLAs Dr. Ashish Deshmukh and Charan Singh Thakur, District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar, and Managing Director of XSIO Industrial and Logistic Park Ashish Agrawal were present.

Chief Minister Fadnavis said that strengthening the manufacturing sector is essential for positioning a democratic nation like India firmly in the global supply chain. This will help achieve Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a developed nation by 2047. The Maharashtra government has introduced industry-friendly policies to move in this direction, which are bringing positive changes in the manufacturing sector across the state.

He added that modern technologies such as automation, artificial intelligence, and advanced digital systems are giving new momentum to the manufacturing industry. As India aims to become the world’s third-largest economy, industrial groups like XSIO will play a significant role in supporting this growth, particularly through Global Capability Centres and advanced manufacturing ecosystems.

While presenting the state budget, the government also highlighted Maharashtra’s economic progress. The state currently ranks around 30th among global economies and is actively working toward becoming India’s first one-trillion-dollar economy in the coming years. The government has prepared a roadmap to achieve this target, and projects such as the new logistics and industrial park in Nagpur will play a vital role in turning this vision into reality.

Chief Minister Fadnavis also expressed the expectation that XSIO should continue to prioritize Nagpur while developing next-generation logistics parks in other parts of the country. He emphasized that the park would play a crucial role in transforming Nagpur into a major industrial hub.

Managing Director of XSIO Industrial and Logistic Park, Ashish Agrawal, delivered the welcome address during the programme. Earlier, Chief Minister Fadnavis also inaugurated a guest house within the XSIO Advanced Industrial Park campus and planted saplings as part of the ceremony.

About the XSIO Intelligence-Integrated Advanced Industrial and Manufacturing Park

The project marks a new chapter in Maharashtra’s industrial infrastructure development. Backed by Blackstone, the park is being developed with an investment of more than ₹700 crore. It will be the first intelligence-integrated industrial complex in the state, equipped with advanced technologies.

The project is expected to generate approximately 2,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities in Nagpur and surrounding areas. The industrial complex will function not just as a manufacturing facility but as a smart campus, equipped with artificial intelligence-based building management systems and digital twin technology, which will help improve operational efficiency and energy savings.

Overall, XSIO plans to invest about ₹8,142 crore in Maharashtra through various projects, with the goal of creating more than 35,000 employment opportunities across the state.
