Nitish Kumar Reviews Development Schemes in Araria During Samriddhi Yatra
Nitish Kumar, Chief Minister of Bihar, on Wednesday chaired a review meeting in Araria district to assess the progress of various development and welfare schemes being implemented in the region. The meeting was held at the temporary auditorium of Araria College as part of the Chief Minister’s Samriddhi Yatra 2026.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the status of multiple government initiatives and sought detailed updates from officials regarding the implementation of projects announced during the yatra. He emphasized the need for timely and efficient execution of all approved schemes to ensure that development benefits reach people at the grassroots level.
Araria District Magistrate Vinod Duhan gave a detailed presentation on the progress of schemes linked to the Samriddhi Yatra. The presentation included updates on the implementation of the state government’s flagship programmes such as Saat Nischay–2 and Saat Nischay–3, along with other development works currently underway in the district. The District Magistrate also briefed the Chief Minister on various infrastructure and welfare initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.
While reviewing the projects, Nitish Kumar directed officials to accelerate the execution of all schemes that have already received approval under the Samriddhi Yatra. He stressed that the administration must maintain close monitoring and coordination to ensure that development projects are completed within the stipulated time frame.
The Chief Minister also instructed officials to ensure better implementation of programmes being carried out under the Saat Nischay initiative. He noted that these schemes play a crucial role in strengthening basic infrastructure, improving public services, and creating opportunities for economic growth in rural and urban areas.
Nitish Kumar further asked the district administration to regularly monitor the progress of ongoing projects and promptly address any challenges that may arise during implementation. He emphasized that government schemes should be executed in a transparent and efficient manner so that their intended benefits reach every section of society.
The review meeting formed an important part of the Chief Minister’s Samriddhi Yatra, which aims to evaluate the progress of development works across Bihar and ensure that government initiatives are implemented effectively to promote inclusive growth and public welfare.
