Hyderabad, March 2026 : Emphasising the deeper spiritual significance of the holy month of Ramadan, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy stated that its true essence lies in attaining inner purification through prayer, fasting, and acts of charity. Addressing a large gathering at an Iftar dinner hosted by the Minorities Welfare Department at LB Stadium, he called upon people of all religions to come together in a spirit of brotherhood and work collectively for the State’s progress.

The Chief Minister noted that Ramadan is not merely a festival but a sacred period that reinforces universal human values. He highlighted that the observance of fasting, spiritual discipline, and extending support to the underprivileged are central to the month, fostering compassion and social harmony. He urged citizens to strengthen bonds across communities and uphold the ideals of unity and coexistence.

Reiterating the government’s commitment to minority welfare, the Chief Minister said that inclusive development remains a top priority. He pointed to key initiatives taken by the State, including the appointment of Mohammad Azharuddin as Minister and Mohammed Ali Shabbir as Government Advisor, along with leadership roles for minority representatives in various State corporations. Highlighting the inclusive spirit of Ramadan, the Chief Minister observed that the festival brings together people from all faiths—Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, and Christians—strengthening the social fabric and contributing to the State’s development.
