During a high-level review meeting held via video conferencing on Wednesday evening, the Chief Minister reviewed preparations for upcoming events including Chaitra Navratri starting Thursday, Alvida Namaz on March 20, and Eid-ul-Fitr on March 21. He directed divisional commissioners, district magistrates, and police chiefs to work with sensitivity and coordination to maintain a peaceful environment.

He stressed that with large crowds expected at देवी temples during Navratri, proper arrangements for security, cleanliness, crowd management, drinking water, lighting, and health services must be ensured, especially at major temples and crowded places.

Referring to chain-snatching incidents, he directed increased patrolling by PRV-112 vehicles and asserted that criminals must fear the police uniform.

Citing Supreme Court guidelines, he ordered that loudspeaker volumes at religious places must remain within prescribed limits, failing which strict removal action should be taken. He also expressed concern over bike stunts and directed immediate action to stop such activities.

On LPG supply, he emphasized that citizens should not face inconvenience despite global conditions. Authorities were instructed to prevent artificial shortages, hoarding, and black marketing, and to take strict action against violators while ensuring prompt resolution of public grievances.

He also instructed strengthening arrangements at cow shelters, including deployment of nodal officers, timely fund disbursement, and proper care, fodder, and facilities for cattle.

Prior to the meeting, the Director General of Police informed that the police force is fully alert to ensure peaceful conduct of festivals including Navratri, Eid-ul-Fitr, and the upcoming Ram Navami, with increased foot patrolling in place.
