Rajasthan Royals Unveil IPL 2026 Jersey, Eye Strong Comeback Season
Jaipur, March 2026 : Rajasthan Royals, the inaugural champions of the Indian Premier League, unveiled their new jersey for the 2026 season on Wednesday, signalling the start of a fresh campaign with renewed ambition. The launch featured newly-appointed captain Riyan Parag, rising teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, and leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi, who showcased the team’s signature blue and pink colours.
Announcing the reveal on social media, the franchise retained its iconic identity while adding a modern touch, captioning the launch with its popular slogan, “New look, same Halla Bol.” The jersey reflects continuity in team spirit as Rajasthan Royals prepare for a crucial season following a disappointing previous campaign.
RR will kick off their IPL 2026 journey against five-time champions Chennai Super Kings on March 30 at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati. The venue holds special significance as it serves as the team’s alternate home ground and is also the hometown of captain Riyan Parag. The Royals are scheduled to play their first three home matches in Guwahati before returning to their primary base at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, with further fixtures to be announced by the BCCI.
The opening clash against Chennai Super Kings is expected to draw added attention, as former CSK stars Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran will now represent Rajasthan Royals against their previous team. Following the opener, RR will travel to face Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium on April 4.
The team will then return to Guwahati for key fixtures against Mumbai Indians on April 7 and defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 10. With three of their first four matches at home, Rajasthan Royals will look to capitalise on familiar conditions and build early momentum.
This season marks a significant transition for the franchise, with Riyan Parag taking over the captaincy following the departure of Sanju Samson to Chennai Super Kings in a high-profile trade that brought Jadeja and Curran into the Royals’ squad. At 24, Parag steps into a leadership role after briefly captaining the side last season during Samson’s injury absence.
Rajasthan Royals will be aiming for a strong turnaround after finishing ninth in IPL 2025, where they managed just four wins in 14 matches. With a revamped squad, new leadership, and a fresh look, the team will be eager to rediscover its winning form and contend for its second IPL title.
