Jaipur, March : The Rajasthan Utsav being held at Bikaner House in New Delhi is attracting visitors with its vibrant display of culture, colors, and उत्साह. The venue has transformed into a lively reflection of Rajasthan’s rich traditions and folk life, offering a unique blend of color, festivity, and cultural charm in every corner.
A variety of competitions and activities organized during the festival added to the lively atmosphere. Fun events such as lemon spoon race, one-legged race, mehendi competition, and painting contests saw enthusiastic participation from children to the elderly, creating a joyful and inclusive environment.
Enthusiasm in Traditional Games—
Participants showed great enthusiasm in traditional games. Suraj secured first place in the men’s category and Abita in the women’s category in the lemon spoon race. In the one-legged race, Abhinav won first place and Sunil secured second in the men’s category, while Sneha emerged as the winner in the women’s category.
Additionally, mehendi and painting competitions were organized on themes like “Developed Rajasthan 2047” and “Mhaaro Rajasthan.” Simran Kaur secured first place and Vanshika second in the mehendi competition, while Kanika Kashyap won the painting contest. All winners were felicitated, boosting the morale of participants.
Cultural Evening Captivates Audience—
The cultural evening was inaugurated by chief guest Krishna Kunal, Secretary, Panchayati Raj (Elementary Education) Department, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Performances at the venue included the “Virsa-e-Thar” presentation by Bhungar Khan Manganiyar and Monu Sapera, whose melodious folk tunes and vibrant dance performances immersed the audience in the essence of Rajasthan.
The event was attended by Additional Resident Commissioner Anju Omprakash, senior officials from various departments, staff members, and a large number of visitors.
