Lucknow, March 2026 : Taking serious note of the unseasonal rainfall in the state, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to remain on high alert. He made it clear that there will be no compromise on farmers’ interests and that prompt assessment of crop damage and immediate relief must be the top priority.
The Chief Minister has instructed all District Magistrates to personally visit the field, assess the situation on the ground, and ensure immediate evaluation of crop losses in affected areas. He emphasized that the process should not remain limited to paperwork but must reflect the actual ground reality so that farmers receive accurate and timely assistance.
He also directed the Relief Commissioner to maintain direct communication and coordination with officials working at the field level. All necessary information must be collected promptly and shared with the government to avoid any delays in relief operations.
The Chief Minister specifically stressed that as soon as the assessment of crop damage is completed, the process of compensation distribution should begin without delay. He instructed officials to ensure that the payment system remains transparent and time-bound so that affected farmers receive relief at the earliest.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, he stated that the state stands firmly with farmers and will provide all possible assistance during any crisis. Officials have been directed to work with sensitivity and ensure that no farmer faces unnecessary hardship under any circumstances.
