Adani Foundation Joins Andhra Pradesh’s P4 Initiative to Empower Vulnerable Families in Kuppam
Kuppam (Andhra Pradesh), July 2026 : The Adani Foundation has partnered with the Andhra Pradesh government’s flagship Public-Private-People Partnership (P4) initiative as a Margdarshi (guide and enabling partner) to support economically disadvantaged families in Kuppam Mandal of Chittoor district. The collaboration aims to strengthen livelihoods, improve financial stability and accelerate inclusive development through sustainable income-generation opportunities.
The initiative, titled “Transforming Lives Together: A P4 Model for Holistic Progress of Bangaru Kutumbams in Kuppam Mandal,” will cover all 29 Gram Panchayats and urban clusters in the mandal. It is designed to uplift economically vulnerable households, known as Bangaru Kutumbams, by equipping them with the resources, skills and institutional support required to build self-reliant livelihoods.
The programme is being implemented by the Andhra Pradesh Mahila Abhivruddhi Society (APMAS) and focuses on enhancing household incomes by promoting locally relevant economic activities, improving financial literacy and ensuring greater access to government welfare schemes.
As part of the initiative, beneficiary families will receive livelihood assets tailored to their existing skills and local market requirements. These include sewing machines, portable welding kits, embroidery machines, livestock, grocery stores and other micro-enterprise support intended to help families establish sustainable sources of income.
Each participating household will also receive guidance from trained community mentors, known as Bangaru Mitras, who will assist in preparing business plans, strengthening financial management skills, developing small enterprises and connecting families with various government welfare programmes.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, during a visit to his Assembly constituency of Kuppam, formally distributed sewing machines, portable welding kits and embroidery machines to selected beneficiaries. He said the initiative reflects the core vision of the state government’s P4 Zero Poverty Initiative, which seeks to eliminate poverty through collaborative efforts involving the government, private sector and communities.
The Chief Minister praised the Adani Foundation for supporting leadership development and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for underprivileged families.
“I congratulate the Adani Foundation for its commitment to strengthening leadership and promoting sustainable livelihoods for Bangaru Kutumbams. This initiative reflects the spirit of shared social responsibility and will create a lasting impact on the community. It is an exemplary contribution towards inclusive development,” Naidu said.
Adani Foundation Chairperson Dr. Priti Adani said meaningful development begins by empowering families at the grassroots level and enabling them to become financially self-reliant.
“Lasting progress begins at the household level. When families receive the right opportunities, support and confidence to build sustainable livelihoods, they create stronger futures not only for themselves but also for future generations. Our partnership with the Andhra Pradesh government under the P4 initiative reflects a shared commitment to helping Bangaru Kutumbams become self-reliant and economically resilient,” she said.
The partnership is expected to serve as a model for community-driven development by combining government support, private sector participation and local engagement to improve the quality of life of vulnerable families across the region.
