New Chapter of Development Begins in Niwari: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the State Government is working with complete dedication for the welfare of the poor, youth, women and farmers. He said the Government’s objective is the welfare of every citizen. It is with this vision that the Uniform Civil Code–2026 has been enacted in the State, marking a historic step towards ensuring equal rights and security for mothers, sisters and daughters. The Chief Minister said that farmers’ welfare remains the State Government’s highest priority and every possible effort is being made to improve their livelihoods. This year, wheat was procured at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) from 14 lakh farmers. To enhance farmers’ incomes, the Government is placing special emphasis on dairy development, with the goal of increasing milk production by 20 per cent. Farmers are also being provided guidance and support for income-generating activities such as fisheries and water chestnut cultivation.

Launching a new chapter of development in Niwari, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated 44 development projects worth over ₹109 crore and performed the Bhoomi Poojan for 15 development works worth over ₹54 crore. Paying obeisance to Orchhadhish Ram Raja Sarkar, he said the Government is moving forward on the path of establishing Ram Rajya in Niwari. He noted that Niwari was carved out as a separate district from Tikamgarh and possesses immense development potential.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a public gathering during the inauguration and Bhoomi Poojan ceremony for various development projects in Niwari. Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Minister Shri Narayan Singh Kushwah and other public representatives were present on the occasion.

Primary Health Centres, Anganwadi Centres and Road Projects Inaugurated

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the newly constructed Integrated Collectorate Building, built at a cost of ₹25.63 crore, and the upgradation and strengthening of the 100-bed District Hospital, Niwari, completed at a cost of nearly ₹20 crore. He also inaugurated road and other infrastructure projects worth over ₹12 crore in Viraura, Sakera, Atarra, Jamuniya, Jikhangaon, Guvawali, Churara and other areas. In addition, new Primary Health Centres at Jewra, Sakera Bhandaran and Sendri in Prithvipur, along with an AYUSH Wing and a Sanjeevani Clinic in Niwari, constructed at a cost of ₹10 crore, were inaugurated. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the stop dam at Majra Khairai–Digwarkalan, 14 Anganwadi centres, and a newly constructed building in Niwari, as well as Anganwadi buildings, roads, and other infrastructure development works.

Development of Bundelkhand is Our Highest Priority

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, recalling the legendary warriors Alha and Udal, that the people of Madhya Pradesh take pride in the rich cultural heritage of Niwari and Orchha. He described the region as a land of courage, sacrifice and valour. The Chief Minister said that the development of Bundelkhand is the State Government’s highest priority. The Ken–Betwa Link Project will benefit all districts in the region, including 168 villages in Niwari, where lakhs of farmers will gain from the project. He also said that industrial activities are being promoted in Prithvipur, while the process of developing an industrial area in Sagar district is underway. Niwari District In-charge Minister Shri Narayan Singh Kushwah said that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s visit and the development projects dedicated to the district would significantly accelerate Niwari’s progress. He added that under the Chief Minister’s leadership, Madhya Pradesh is steadily advancing on the path of development.

Rajya Sabha MP Shri Mahesh Kewat said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the State Government is contributing to the vision of a Viksit Bharat. He said that rapid progress is being made in education, healthcare and infrastructure, while continuous efforts are underway to empower farmers, youth, the poor and women.

Niwari MLA Shri Anil Jain described the development projects worth crores of rupees as the beginning of a golden chapter for the district. He said that the inauguration of the District Collectorate and District Hospital would significantly improve administrative and healthcare services for the people of Niwari. He expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister.

Former MLA Dr. Shishupal Singh Yadav, Niwari Municipal Council President Shri Gulab Ahirwar, other public representatives, administrative officers and a large number of local residents were present at the programme.
