Mauli’s Teachings Essential for Inner Peace in Busy Life: Minister Ashish Shelar

Solapur, March 2026 : Maharashtra’s Cultural Affairs and Information Technology Minister Ashish Shelar said that the teachings of Sant Dnyaneshwar are vital for attaining inner peace in today’s fast-paced and stressful life. He was speaking at the उद्घाटन of a spiritual and cultural programme आयोजित to mark the 750th birth anniversary of the revered saint.

The event, titled “Gnyaniyacha Raja, Mogara Phulala,” was organised by the Maharashtra Cultural Affairs Department and Directorate of Cultural Affairs in Mumbai. The programme was inaugurated by Shelar through the ceremonial पूजा of Sant Dnyaneshwar’s portrait at Saraswati Vidyamandir in Solapur.

Highlighting the significance of Dnyaneshwar’s contribution, Shelar described him as one of the youngest spiritual literary figures in the world. He noted that Dnyaneshwar’s writings bring peace and satisfaction to the human mind and remain highly relevant in modern times. He also emphasised that the saint’s philosophy promotes the idea that humanity is the ultimate religion and that all individuals share a common soul.

Shelar further stated that the state’s Cultural Affairs Department would work towards spreading Dnyaneshwar’s teachings globally, ensuring that his message of unity, simplicity, and spiritual wisdom reaches people across different countries.

MLA Subhash Deshmukh, who was present at the event, highlighted the uniqueness of the programme. He remarked that devotional compositions like “Mogara Phulala” have the power to rejuvenate the human spirit. He added that such programmes could be showcased internationally to introduce global audiences to the essence of “Pasaydan” and its universal message.
