Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah reached the holy place Champaran in Chhattisgarh today. Here he offered prayers at the main appearance meeting place of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya ji and Champeshwar Mahadev and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the countrymen. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, MP Shri Brijmohan Agarwal were also with him.

Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah was welcomed in a traditional manner on reaching Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ashram in Champaran. On this occasion, Shri Dwarikesh Lal Ji Maharaj presented him a statue of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ji. He was also welcomed on behalf of Vallabhacharya Nidhi Trust and Shri Harish Babaria and Monal Babaria presented him a picture of Shrinath Ji.
Followers of Pushti Marg from all over the country gather in Champaran, the birthplace of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya in Chhattisgarh. During his stay in Banaras-South, Vallabhacharya’s mother had labour pains and she gave birth to a child near the Champeshwar Mahadev temple in Champaran. Vallabhacharya started the Pushti Marg and awakened the devotion of Krishna across the country.
India has always had a tradition of pilgrimage from north to south and south to north and this pilgrimage passes near many pilgrimage sites on the Mahanadi. The story of Champaran in itself reflects the unique cultural richness of India. Along with that, it also reflects the beautiful tradition of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya and the acharyas of the Bhakti movement who cherished the values of the Sanatan tradition and awakened the spirit of devotion to Krishna.

Mahaprabhu’s childhood and his beautiful memories are recorded in texts like Chaurasi Vaishnavo Ki Varta and Vallabh Digvijay. Champaran is near the Triveni Sangam Rajim. Lord Shri Rajiv Lochan is enthroned in Rajim. This is called Padma Kshetra. Panchkosi Parikrama is held around this Padma Kshetra. Devotees take part in this Panchkosi Parikrama and offer water to Champeshwar Mahadev.
On this occasion, President of Sarv Gujarati Samaj, Mr. Pritesh Gandhi Padiya, President of Shri Vallabhacharya Trust, Mr. Chetan Adhia, member of Shri Vallabhacharya Trust, Mr. Vallabh Adhia, officer of Gujarati Samaj, Mr. Harish Kumar Babaria, former minister, Mr. Chandrashekhar Sahu, former Chairman of Apex Bank, Mr. Ashok Bajaj and Sarpanch of Champaran, Mrs. Radhika Dhruv, along with many public representatives and dignitaries were present.
