Ramdev Calls for Peace, Says India Can Play Key Role in Resolving West Asia Conflict

Haridwar, March 2026: Yoga guru and Patanjali Ayurved co-founder Baba Ramdev on Thursday called for global peace amid the ongoing West Asia conflict, asserting that no side would emerge victorious from the confrontation.

Speaking at a Ram Navami event at Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar, Ramdev remarked, “Neither America will win, nor Iran will lose,” emphasising that modern warfare only leads to destruction without decisive outcomes. He pointed out that Iran’s missile capabilities demonstrate that military strength alone cannot intimidate nations or ensure dominance.

Criticising the use of force in global politics, Ramdev said democracy should not be about instilling fear. Referring to the United States as one of the world’s largest democracies, he urged it to respect the sovereignty of other nations and adopt a more balanced approach in international relations.

Highlighting India’s potential as a peace mediator, Ramdev stressed the importance of the principle of Vasudev Kutumbakam—the belief that the world is one family. He expressed confidence that India, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, could play a significant diplomatic role in easing tensions and fostering dialogue between conflicting nations.

He further noted that the ongoing conflict has triggered a global ripple effect, including rising fuel prices and economic instability. According to him, timely mediation could help prevent a prolonged crisis and stabilise both political and economic conditions worldwide. “Solutions to such crises lie in dialogue, and India has the capacity to bring nations together,” he said.

Ramdev also urged unity on matters of national interest, particularly in foreign policy, calling for collective support in navigating global challenges.

On the occasion of Ram Navami, he extended greetings to citizens and encouraged people to use cultural festivals as an opportunity to instil strong moral values and awareness of India’s rich heritage among the younger generation, especially in the age of digital influence.
