Lord Shri Ram Is the Ideal of Life – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis
Nagpur, March 2026: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that Lord Shri Ramchandra established all types of ideals in life for society. Therefore, Shri Ram is considered an ideal for everyone’s life.
He was speaking at the inauguration of the grand procession organized by the West Nagpur Citizens’ Association on the occasion of Shri Ram Navami. The event took place in the premises of Shri Ram Temple in Ramnagar. The Chief Minister emphasized that Lord Ram demonstrated equality in society through his life and actions and extended greetings on Shri Ram Navami to the attendees.
The ceremony was attended by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Revenue and Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, MP Mayatai Ivanate, and MLA Vikas Thackeray.
Upon arrival at the temple in the evening, Chief Minister Fadnavis had darshan of Lord Shri Ram’s idol. This was followed by palanquin worship and Aarti by the guests, marking the start of the grand procession. Other dignitaries present included Ravi Waghmare, President of West Nagpur Citizens’ Association; Rajiv Kale, General Secretary; Shivani Dani Wakhare, Chairperson of the Municipal Standing Committee; Yogesh Pachpor; Aniruddha Palkar; and Pravin Mahajan.
Chief Minister Fadnavis also participated in the procession organized by the Poddareshwar Ram Temple, one of Nagpur city’s prominent landmarks. This year marks the 60th year of the procession. The ceremony began with worship of the idols of Ram, Laxman, and Sita by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, MP Mayatai Ivanate, MLA Pravin Datke, Mayor Neeta Thackeray, former Minister Ramesh Bang, former Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari, and Prof. Anil Sole, followed by Shri Ram Aarti. The procession then commenced with devotees pulling the chariot amid chants of “Jai Shri Ram.”
