Meeting with Filling Station and Gas Agency Owners in Lawngtlai

Lawngtlai, March 2026: Today, Lawngtlai Deputy Commissioner Pu Donny Lalruatsanga held a meeting in his office chamber with filling station owners and gas agency representatives operating within Lawngtlai town.

Pu Donny Lalruatsanga began by expressing his gratitude to all those present. He stated that petrol and gas are essential commodities for the public, and therefore maintaining adequate stock at all times is very important. Referring to the ongoing Iran-related tensions, he pointed out that there could be disruptions in the supply of fuel and gas, and urged the filling station and gas agency owners to remain prepared to meet public demand at all times.

He further noted that the current availability of fuel and gas is satisfactory, which is a matter of relief. However, he emphasised the need to prevent any panic or shortage situations and mentioned that necessary orders would be issued in the coming days. He reiterated that the administration is committed to keeping public needs in mind and assured that appropriate steps would be taken to ensure that people do not face any inconvenience.

During the meeting, the filling station and gas agency representatives of Lawngtlai town presented an overall report, stating that the current stock position is stable. They assured that they would act according to the instructions of the district administration and comply with any orders issued in due course.
