‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Revenue Settlement Camp Campaign – Phase 1’ Held in Mumbai Suburban District
Mumbai, April 2026 : The first phase of the ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Revenue Settlement Camp Campaign’ was successfully organized across circle-wise locations under the Andheri, Borivali, and Kurla tehsil offices in Mumbai Suburban district, receiving an enthusiastic response from citizens.
The camps were attended by Minister for Information Technology, Cultural Affairs and Guardian Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar, Member of Parliament Anil Desai, MLAs Aslam Shaikh, Parag Alavani, Mangesh Kudalkar, Sanjay Potnis, Tukaram Kate, along with local corporators and District Collector Saurabh Katiyar. During the कार्यक्रम (event), dignitaries distributed various government certificates to citizens.
The campaign is being implemented across Maharashtra under the guidance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule. Its primary objective is to provide revenue-related services to citizens in a fast, transparent, and accessible manner. As part of the initiative, special drives are being conducted through all tehsil offices in the Mumbai Suburban district to ensure speedy disposal of pending revenue cases.
Officials and staff from the Revenue Department are making dedicated efforts at both village and office levels to resolve citizens’ grievances related to revenue matters. The initiative aims to bring governance closer to the people by addressing issues promptly and efficiently.
At the camps, a wide range of services were offered, including issuance of government certificates, 7/12 land records extracts, Aadhaar registration, resolution of pending ration-related work, and acceptance of applications for various welfare schemes. Several cases were resolved on the spot, providing immediate relief to citizens.
Additionally, benefits under schemes such as the ‘Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana’ (Shravan Bal Pension Scheme) and Ayushman Bharat cards were distributed during the event. Multiple departments, including the Revenue Department, City Survey Office, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Health Department, Rationing Office, Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), women’s self-help groups, and the Social Welfare Department, set up dedicated stalls to assist citizens.
A large number of residents availed themselves of government services directly at the camps. Members of Parliament and Legislative Assembly from the Mumbai Suburban district also visited and reviewed the initiative. A total of 2,635 certificates were issued during the camps.
The initiative was widely appreciated by dignitaries, who lauded the administration for its citizen-centric approach in delivering government services directly to the people.
