Standardised System to Deliver All Scheme Benefits Under One Roof for Single Women: Minister Aditi Tatkare

Mumbai, April 2026 : Minister for Women and Child Development Aditi Tatkare has directed officials to develop a standardised operational framework to ensure that single women in the state can access all government welfare schemes in an integrated and simplified manner under one roof.

Chairing a review meeting at the मंत्रालय, the minister emphasised the need to accelerate the effective implementation of the Single Women Policy. Senior officials, including Secretary Anup Kumar Yadav, Commissioner Madhavi Sardeshmukh, and other departmental officers, were present during the meeting.

Tatkare stated that a clear and structured system must be put in place to streamline access to multiple schemes for women. “All benefits should be made available in a consolidated manner so that single women do not have to navigate multiple departments,” she said. She instructed authorities to finalise and implement a standard operating procedure at the earliest to ensure smooth coordination among all concerned agencies.

To strengthen execution at the grassroots level, committees have already been established at district and taluka levels. The minister directed officials to expedite the registration process of single women so that they can be quickly brought under the ambit of various welfare schemes.

Highlighting the importance of awareness and accessibility, Tatkare also called for the organisation of special health camps for single women. These camps will focus on addressing their healthcare needs while also serving as platforms to spread awareness about available government schemes. Additionally, outreach and service camps will be conducted across different regions to ensure that benefits reach a wider section of eligible women.

The initiative aims to provide comprehensive support to single women by improving access to healthcare, financial assistance, and social welfare programs. By adopting a coordinated and standardised approach, the government seeks to eliminate procedural hurdles and ensure timely delivery of benefits.

Officials noted that these measures are expected to significantly boost the social, economic, and health empowerment of single women across the state. The move reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive development and targeted welfare delivery for vulnerable sections of society.
