IIHM will provide farmers an opportunity to sell their products at global level: Shyam Singh Rana

37th meeting of Board of Directors of Haryana International Horticulture Marketing Corporation Limited Held

Chandigarh, May 2026 – Haryana Agriculture Minister, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana said that the India International Horticulture Market (IIHM), Ganaur project is an ambitious initiative that will give a new direction to the horticulture sector in the state. He said the project will provide farmers with better markets, modern facilities and opportunities to sell their products at the global level.

Sh. Rana was presiding over the 37th meeting of the Board of Directors of Haryana International Horticulture Marketing Corporation Limited (HIHMCL) held today at Haryana Niwas here.

During the meeting, important agenda items related to the development and operation of the India International Horticulture Market being set up at Ganaur in Sonipat district were discussed in detail.

The Board also discussed the proposal related to the selection of the Transaction Advisor and Consultant (TAC). The Board approved the Request for Proposal (RFP) for providing integrated consultancy services to support the operation of IIHM Ganaur so that the further process can move ahead quickly.

Apart from this, the Board also approved the proposal to extend the contract of M/s EIL (Authority Engineer) till December 31, 2026, to ensure the smooth functioning of project-related activities.

The meeting also discussed the request for suspension of the penalty in the IIHM project. After a detailed discussion, the Board approved the proposal, keeping in view the smooth implementation and operation of the project.

Besides this, various other matters were also discussed, and necessary directions were issued for the timely and effective implementation of the project.

The Agriculture Minister directed the officers to complete the IIHM Ganaur project within the stipulated time and develop it as a modern and world-class market for farmers and traders.

Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture Department, Sh. Vijeyendra Kumar, HSAMB Chief Administrator, Sh. Mukesh Kumar Ahuja, Director General, Horticulture, Sh. Ranbir Singh, Director General of Agriculture, Sh. Rajnarayan Kaushik, Managing Director, Haryana International Horticulture Marketing Corporation Limited, Sh. Anish Yadav, Chief Engineer, Sh. Mohinder Singh and other senior officers were present during the meeting.
