CM Sai gave a big gift on the occasion of Teej, 70 lakh women got the seventh installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has given a big gift to 70 lakh women of the state on the occasion of Teeja today. On the occasion of Teeja-Pora Mahtari Vandan Tihar organized at the Chief Minister’s residence today, he transferred Rs 1000 each to the accounts of women through DBT as the seventh installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana. The faces of the women lit up and they thanked their Vishnu Bhaiya.

It is worth mentioning that to strengthen the economic self-reliance of women in the state and their health and nutrition level and to strengthen their decisive role in the family, to remove discrimination, inequality and lack of awareness towards women in the society, to improve health and nutrition level and to promote economic self-reliance and empowerment, it was decided to implement the “Mahtari Vandan Yojana”. Under this, financial assistance of Rs 1000 per month is provided to married, widowed, abandoned and divorced women of the state whose age is more than 21 years. Mahtari Vandan Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 10 March 2024. Prime Minister Shri Modi released the amount of the first installment by pressing the button. Under the scheme, more than 70 lakh women have been selected as beneficiaries in the first phase, in whose bank accounts 7 installments of the scheme have been transferred.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Arun Saw, Forest Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap, Sports Minister Mr. Tank Ram Verma, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade, Member of Parliament Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal, MLAs Mr. Rajesh Munat, Purandar Mishra, Moti Lal Sahu, Indra Kumar Sahu, Guru Khuswant Saheb, Anuj Sharma were present.
