BJP to Mark 12 Years of Modi Government with Nationwide Events and Development Outreach Drive

New Delhi, May 2026 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing to launch a series of nationwide programmes to mark 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led government’s tenure in office, highlighting what the party describes as a period of “development with people’s trust and welfare”. The celebrations will culminate on June 10, the day Prime Minister Narendra Modi took oath for his third consecutive term, marking the beginning of “Modi 3.0”.

Prime Minister Modi first assumed office on May 26, 2014, becoming the 15th Prime Minister of India. While the BJP notes that the government completed 12 years in power on Tuesday, the party is aligning its formal celebrations with the start of Modi’s third term, which began on June 10, 2024.

According to party leaders, the commemorative programmes will be organised across the country, with special events planned in the national capital. Senior Union Ministers, Chief Ministers, and Deputy Chief Ministers of BJP-led and NDA-ruled states will participate in these functions and present detailed accounts of governance achievements over the past 12 years.

As part of the celebrations, the BJP will also present its long-term governance vision titled “Developed India by 2047”, outlining the roadmap for transforming India into a developed nation by the centenary of Independence.

The party has planned seminars, press conferences, public dialogues, and interactions with prominent personalities from various sectors including industry, education, governance, and civil society. These events will be held across states in a coordinated manner to highlight achievements of the central government.

A major gathering of NDA Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers is expected in Delhi on June 10, where Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP national president Nitin Nabin will also be present. Party functionaries said a formal resolution or “vote of thanks” is likely to be passed, acknowledging the government’s performance over the last 12 years.

Preparations for the celebrations are already underway, with BJP leaders holding virtual meetings involving Chief Ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers, party general secretaries, and state presidents to finalise the programme details.

In addition to the main event, the BJP will also observe World Environment Day on June 5 and International Yoga Day on June 21 through large-scale public participation activities. These will include tree plantation drives, yoga sessions, and awareness programmes aimed at promoting sustainable and healthy living.

Party sources said that at the grassroots level, BJP workers have already begun outreach efforts, visiting households to highlight welfare schemes and development initiatives launched by the Modi government. Special emphasis is being placed on connecting beneficiaries of centrally sponsored schemes with the broader narrative of governance achievements.

Seminars and interactive sessions are also being planned from booth level to district and state levels to showcase the impact of government programmes in sectors such as housing, sanitation, rural development, digital infrastructure, and financial inclusion.

Party leaders expressed confidence that the public continues to place strong trust in Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, describing it as “visionary and transformative”. They also said that the upcoming events will reinforce the BJP’s message of continuity in development and inclusive growth under the current administration.
