CM Mohan Yadav’s Father Laid to Rest in Ujjain; Leaders Express Condolences
The funeral procession of Poonamchand Yadav, father of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, took place on Wednesday in Ujjain. The last rites were performed near the Bhookhi Mata Temple on the banks of the Shipra River. Poonamchand Yadav, who was around 100 years old, passed away on Tuesday after a brief illness. He had been admitted to a hospital in Ujjain for a week. The funeral procession began at 11:30 AM from Geeta Colony, Abdalpura, Ujjain, with Dr. Mohan Yadav hurrying back from Bhopal upon receiving the news of his father’s passing.
The news of Poonamchand Yadav’s death has deeply saddened the political community. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president VD Sharma conveyed his heartfelt condolences, acknowledging the profound grief that comes with the loss of a father. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also shared his sorrow, emphasizing that the departure of a father leaves an irreplaceable void. Both leaders expressed their prayers for the departed soul and offered support to the bereaved family during this difficult time.
Leaders from the Congress Party also extended their condolences. Senior leaders like Digvijay Singh and Patwari expressed their sympathies, praying for peace for the departed soul and strength for the Yadav family. They highlighted the significance of the loss and offered their respect to Poonamchand Yadav, recognizing the emotional toll such a loss brings to the family.
