Iran Fires Multiple Missile Barrages at Israel as Regional Tensions Escalate

The growing confrontation has also drawn reactions from neighboring countries and regional allies. Jordan confirmed that several missiles crossed its airspace during the night, highlighting the broader geographic impact of the conflict.

Pro-Iran groups across the region also issued warnings. Iraq-based militia Kataib Hezbollah threatened to target American military bases and interests if the United States became directly involved in military operations against Iran. Meanwhile, Yemen’s Houthi movement pledged support for Iran’s actions against Israel, further increasing concerns about a broader regional confrontation.

As a precautionary measure, several countries moved quickly to secure their airspace. Iraq announced the closure of its airspace to all flights for 72 hours. Syria temporarily shut its southern air routes for 12 hours and suspended operations at Damascus International Airport. Iran also closed its western airspace until further notice.
