CM takes major decision in the interest of candidates appearing for UP Police Recruitment Examination

Candidates traveling for the recruitment examination to receive a 50% concession on bus fares

CM decides to provide a 50% discount on bus travel for candidates upon showing their admit cards

Lucknow, June 2026 : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken an important decision in the interest of candidates appearing in the Constable and equivalent posts recruitment examination being conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.

On the Chief Minister’s instructions, candidates appearing for the examination will be provided a 50% concession on fares while traveling on Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses.

The Chief Minister said, “The state government is committed to ensuring a transparent, fair, and candidate-friendly recruitment process for the youth. Considering the large-scale movement of candidates across different districts for the examination, this decision has been taken to provide financial relief and ensure that no candidate faces inconvenience in reaching their examination center.”

The recruitment examination for Constable and equivalent posts, conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, is being held on June 8, 9, and 10 in two shifts each day. Nearly 2.9 million candidates are expected to appear for the examination.

As per the Chief Minister’s decision, candidates appearing in the examination will be able to avail themselves of the 50% concessional fare on Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation buses by presenting their admit cards. This facility will remain available throughout the examination period for the convenience of candidates.

The Chief Minister has also directed officials to ensure all necessary arrangements for the successful and peaceful conduct of the examination so that candidates can appear for the test in a safe, smooth, and conducive environment.
