According to India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the two leaders exchanged warm greetings and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the long-standing partnership between India and Switzerland.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal shared details of the meeting on social media platform X, noting that PM Modi’s stopover in Geneva reflected the close and friendly ties between the two countries.

The Prime Minister is travelling to Evian to attend the G7 Summit, where he is expected to engage with leaders of the G7 nations, invited partner countries and representatives of international organisations. India’s participation in the summit underscores its growing global influence and its role in shaping discussions on major international issues.
