Kolkata Metro Railways Gears Up For June 21st; World Yoga Day And NEET-UG 2026 Examinations.
Kolkata; June 2026: In order to cater to the transportation needs of passengers attending International Day of Yoga programme to be held at Red Road and for mobility needs of candidates appearing in the NEET-UG Examination, 2026, Kolkata Metro Railway will start operating services from 04.00 Hours this coming Sunday, i.e., 21.06.2026, across Blue Line, Green Line and Yellow Line.
To facilitate early morning travel, additional services will be operated on these Corridors. The timings of the last Metro services from terminal stations will remain unchanged.
BLUE LINE –
A total of 214 services (107 UP and 107 DN) will be operated in Blue Line on 21.06.2026 instead of the existing 152 services on Sundays.
Metro services will run at an interval of 14 minutes and 15 minutes in both UP and DN directions between 04:00 Hours and 08:00 Hours
First Services:
- At 04:00 Hours from Dakshineswar to Shahid Khudiram (instead of 09.00 Hours)
- At 04:00 Hours from Noapara to Shahid Khudiram (instead of 09.00 Hours)
- At 04:00 Hours from Mahanayak Uttam Kumar to Shahid Khudiram (Special Service)
- At 04:00 Hours from Shahid Khudiram to Dakshineswar (instead of 09.00 Hours)
- At 04:00 Hours from Mahanayak Uttam Kumar to Dakshineswar (instead of 09.00 Hours)
- At 04:00 Hours from Noapara to Dakshineswar (Special Service)
GREEN LINE –
A total of 173 services (87 UP and 86 DN) will be operated in Green Line on 21.06.2026 instead of the existing 108 services on Sundays.
Metro services will run at an interval of 15 minutes and 10 minutes frequency in both directions between 04:00 Hours to 09:00 Hours Thereafter, normal Sunday services will be available.
First Services:
- At 04:00 Hours from Howrah Maidan to Salt Lake Sector V (instead of 09.00 Hours)
- At 04:02 Hours from Salt Lake Sector V to Howrah Maidan (instead of 09.02 Hours)
YELLOW LINE –
A total of 112 services (56 UP and 56 DN) will be operated in Yellow Line on 21.06.2026 instead of the existing 78 services on Sundays.
Metro services will run at an interval of 18 minutes and 20 minutes in both UP and DN directions between 04:18 Hours and 09:00 Hours. Thereafter, normal Sunday services will be available.
First Services:
* At 04:18 Hours from Noapara to Jai Hind Bimanbandar (instead of 09.18 Hours)
* At 04:40 Hours from Jai Hind Bimanbandar to Noapara (instead of 09.40 Hours)
There will be no change in the timings of the last Metro services in both Blue Line, Green Line and Yellow Line.
No services will be available in Purple Line and Orange Line on that day.
