CM Yogi steps down from the stage to honor injured teacher on Teacher’s Day

Gorakhpur : In a heartwarming display of respect and humility, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a step beyond protocol during the State Teacher Award distribution ceremony held at the Yogiraj Baba Gambhirnath Auditorium in Gorakhpur. The Chief Minister personally presented an award to an injured teacher, Moolchandra, who had been unable to walk to the stage due to a leg injury.

During the ceremony, which was attended by many dignitaries, the Chief Minister honored 53 teachers for their outstanding contributions to education. However, when it was time for Moolchandra, the headmaster of Primary School Suratgarh (Atrauli Block) in Aligarh, to be recognized, CM Yogi noticed the teacher’s injury. Instead of waiting for him to come to the stage, the Chief Minister, in a spontaneous act of kindness, descended from the stage and walked over to where Moolchandra was seated.

This unexpected gesture not only surprised the audience but also brought smiles to everyone’s faces. The Chief Minister personally handed the certificate of honor to Moolchandra, inquired about his well-being, and wished him a speedy recovery. This simple yet profound act left a lasting impression on all present, showcasing the Chief Minister’s deep respect for educators.

Moolchandra, deeply moved by the gesture, expressed his gratitude, stating, “I never imagined the Chief Minister would come to me to present the award. This moment is unforgettable and reflects the highest respect and reverence for all teachers.”

The event highlighted CM Yogi’s commitment to upholding the Guru-disciple tradition of Gorakshpeeth, where he serves as the Peethadhishwar. His actions on Teacher’s Day were a testament to the respect he holds for educators, making the occasion memorable for all involved, especially for teacher Moolchandra.
