Idolize the Work of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers to Ensure the Successful Implementation of Government Schemes – Minister Chhagan Bhujbal

Nashik : State Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection, Chhagan Bhujbal, praised the exemplary efforts of Anganwadi workers and helpers in spreading the benefits of the Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana to as many women as possible. He was speaking at a felicitation ceremony for Anganwadi workers and helpers held at Lawns.

Present at the event were Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad, Pratap Patil; Sub-Divisional Officer Babasaheb Gadve; Tehsildar Aba Mahajan; Yewla Municipal Chief Tushar Aher; Naib Tehsildar Pankaj Magar; and Project Officer for the Women and Child Development Department, Vandana Shimpi, along with numerous Anganwadi workers and helpers.

Minister Bhujbal stated that the government launched the Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana to empower women in the state. Various schemes focused on women’s education, employment, and empowerment are also being implemented. Only Anganwadi workers have been granted the right to submit applications for this scheme. For each application filled, a beneficiary woman receives Rs. 50 as a stipend. Today, 1,08,063 women in Yewla Taluka have benefited from this scheme, thanks to the hard work of the Anganwadi workers. Bhujbal encouraged them to seize this opportunity to serve the underprivileged.

Anganwadi workers play a vital role in providing nutrition, primary education, healthcare, immunization, and preventing malnutrition among children. Their responsibilities in shaping the future of the country are crucial, said Bhujbal. In addition to these tasks, they ensure government schemes reach the people, making their work indispensable.

Minister Bhujbal also mentioned that Rs. 46,000 crore will be distributed to women under the Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, which will empower women financially. He emphasized the government’s commitment to making 1.5 lakh women in the state “Lakhpati Didi” (millionaire sisters).

The event began with an idol worship ceremony performed by Minister Bhujbal and other dignitaries. Eleven Anganwadi workers and helpers were honored by the Minister. The program was introduced by Deputy Chief Executive Officer Pratap Patil, and the vote of thanks was given by Vandana Shimpi, Project Officer of the Women and Child Development Department.

Inauguration of ‘Fire Bike’ by Minister Bhujbal

Minister Chhagan Bhujbal also inaugurated two new fire bikes introduced by the Yewla Municipality’s fire department. These bikes will help control fires in the city’s hard-to-reach areas.

Yewla Municipal Chief Officer Tushar Aher, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Chandrakant Bhoye, Fire Chief Sagar Zaware, Tax Inspector Aditya Murkute, and Establishment Head Balu Pardhe were present at the event.
