Madhya Pradesh government to encourage study in mother tongue – Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Madhya Pradesh government is committed to the maximum use and promotion of Hindi. Madhya Pradesh is a major Hindi-speaking state. Not only are doctors and engineers from Madhya Pradesh progressing after getting an education in Hindi but they can also be given the facility to study other courses in Hindi. Later on, students can build their careers by studying MBA and other courses. People who speak Hindi only enhance the pride of the language. Madhya Pradesh government is committed to educating the students in their mother tongue. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was honoring Hindi Sevis in the Rashtriya Hindi Bhasha Samman Alankaran Samaroha organized by the Culture Department at Rabindra Bhawan today on Hindi Day.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today on the occasion of Hindi Day, a review related to the language is also necessary. He said the journey of Hindi started from the origin of Awadhi. Despite many difficulties, its journey has been smooth. The Chief Minister remembered many freedom fighters and great men who worked for the cause of both the freedom movement and the national language.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is our good fortune that many non-Hindi-speaking people have also been strong supporters of Hindi. In favorable times, new rays of hope emerge from adversity. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that when the British were ruling, Hindi scholars and great men of the country kept everyone connected. It was a difficult task to reject English at that time but the patriots and Hindi lovers, along with their fight for freedom, also continued to make efforts to establish the identity of their language. They enhanced the pride of the national language. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav remembered Madhavrao Sapre and Bhartendu Harishchandra, famous writers Premchand ji and Hazari Prasad Dwivedi apart from Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Subhash Chandra Bose, who while prominently took part in the freedom movement continued to be strong supporters of Hindi.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Late Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee’s address at the United Nations in Hindi increased the pride of Hindi. He said that our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi uses Hindi even in foreign countries whenever there is an opportunity. As Madhya Pradesh is a Hindi-speaking state, when our people speak Hindi in other states, people are impressed by the purity and pronunciation of their language. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that all these examples increase the pride of the Hindi language.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today two sisters from Canada and Sri Lanka have been honored by the Madhya Pradesh government for promoting the use of Hindi. The duo has done important work in favor of Hindi. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav instructed the Culture Department to organize such Samman Samarohas every year.
Minister of State for Culture and Tourism (Independent Charge) Shri Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi said that today many courses are available in Hindi. Prime Minister Shri Modi and Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Dr. Yadav give priority to the use of Hindi. The Culture Department always works to promote Hindi.

Sushri Atila Kotlawal of Sri Lanka, honored for her Hindi Seva, said she will be grateful to the Madhya Pradesh government for this prestigious honour. While promoting Hindi for the last 24 years, I also got the opportunity to work as an interpreter for distinguished people many times. Sushri Atila said that Hindi has made her global. She wants to tell everyone to adopt the Hindi language and not run after English. Expressing joy on her arrival in Bhopal, Sushri Atila praised the city for its cleanliness and beauty.
Dr. Hansa Deep works for Hindi despite residing in Canada
Dr. Hansa Deep from Toronto (Canada), who has been honored for her service to Hindi, said India is my birthplace, which is like heaven to me. Today, I express my gratitude to the Madhya Pradesh Government. for the respect they have given this daughter of Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Hansa said that Hindi has continued its journey on the global stage. Madhya Pradesh government is recognized among the states that encourage people to work in Hindi. Today I am happy that my writing and translation work has been honored.
Awards given for Hindi Seva
A total of 10 national awards were given including Rs 5 lakh each for 2022 and 2023 to an organization and nine Hindi Sevis by the Culture Department. The National Information Technology Award was given to Digital India Bhashini Sansthan, New Delhi and Shri Amkeshwar Mishra (CRISP/ Department of Public Relations), National Nirmal Verma Award to Dr. Hansa Deep (Canada) and Dr. Anurag Sharma (USA) and the National Father Kamil Bulke Award to Sushri Atila Kotlawal (Sri Lanka) and Sushri Dagmar Malkova, Czech Republic. In the absence of Sushri Dagmar, Smt. Sushma Sharma received the award. Dr. Krishna Kumar Mumbai and Shri Devendra Mewari New Delhi were honored with the National Gunakar Mule Award. Dr. Damodar Khadse Pune and Dr. Manmohan Sehgal Patiala were honored with the Rashtriya Hindi Seva Samman. At the outset, Principal Secretary Culture Shri Sheoshekhar Shukla welcomed the guests. The programme was conducted by Shri Vinay Upadhyay. Culture Director Shri N.P. Namdev introduced the respected personalities. Former Rajya Sabha member Shri Raghunandan Sharma, Director of Sahitya Academy Madhya Pradesh Dr. Vikas Dave, officials of various literary and cultural institutions, media representatives, other public representatives, and a large number of Hindi lovers were present in the ceremony.
