Adani group visits Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Department, Govt. of Odisha

  • Keen to invest in Renewable Energy sector of Odisha

Bhubaneswar, July, 2026 : Kharavel Bhawan, representatives from the Adani Group delivered a comprehensive presentation to the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, expressing the group’s strong commitment to investing ₹1.5 Lakh Crore into the state’s clean energy ecosystem. As part of this major investment initiative, Adani Group proposes to establish two 3,000 MW nuclear power plants, 2400 MW USC Thermal power plants, PSPs to provide reliable, low-emission baseload power. It is noted that, in Nayagarh district of Odisha the group is developing a 1.80 GW of PSP. This strategic venture aligns with India’s Net Zero 2070 pathway, leveraging enabling legislation such as the SHANTI Act 2025 to generate an estimated more than 22,000 direct and indirect jobs while substantially boosting Odisha’s power generation capacity.

The other dignitaries include the representatives from Adani Power Limited, Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Shri Vishal Kumar Dev, CMD, OPTCL, Shri Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma, MD GRIDCO Dr. Satyapriya Rath, Senior officers from the Energy department, OPGC, OHPC, GRIDCO etc.
