Mumbai : The ‘E-Textile’ system has been developed to boost the textile industry. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde unveiled this system today at the Sahyadri Guest House. Present at the event were Textiles Minister Chandrakant Patil, Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, Textiles Department Secretary Virendra Singh, and other related officials.
During the event, Chief Minister Shinde highlighted that a new integrated and sustainable textile industry policy for the state has been announced. He emphasized the importance of promoting the textile sector to create employment opportunities.

The ‘E-Textile’ system has been designed to automate end-to-end processes for various schemes under the Textile Department. Developed in collaboration with ICICI Bank, the system aims to provide a centralized platform for easy access to information on all textile department schemes. This was explained by Mr. Singh, Secretary of the Textile Department, during a presentation. Also present were Krishna Pawar, Deputy Secretary of the Textiles Department, officials from ICICI Bank, and other key personnel.
