Jaipur : Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Jogaram Patel participated in a dialogue program on Tuesday with women from the Rajivika Self Help Groups (SHGs) in Luni, Dhawa, and Keru blocks of Jodhpur district.

Shri Patel highlighted that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has set a goal to create 3 crore “Lakhpati Didis” across the country. Through the Lakhpati Didi scheme, aimed at empowering women, the women of Rajasthan are expected to become stronger socially, economically, and politically in the coming years. This initiative will offer new livelihood opportunities and foster skill development among women. The minister emphasized that the mothers and sisters of India will play a vital role in transforming the country into a developed nation.

He further mentioned that the state government is actively working to connect more women with the Rajivika SHG network. An action plan is being developed to provide them with easy access to loans and market linkage opportunities. Shri Patel also announced that a dedicated building would be arranged for the SHG women at the local level. Additionally, to overcome challenges in selling SHG-produced goods, plans are underway to organize Haat Bazaars and sales fairs locally.

During the program, Mrs. Geeta Devi, a resident of Keru, shared her success story. She explained how her self-help group, consisting of 25 women, produces millet biscuits, which are sold in metro cities like Delhi and Noida, resulting in significant economic benefits for the group.
