CM Dr. Yadav Recieves Padmashri Awardee Shri Gundecha and Dr. Vyas on Courtesy Visit
Renowned classical vocalist and Padma Shri awardee Shri Umakant Gundecha, who was conferred the honour in 2012, and Dr. Narayan Vyas, recipient of the Padma Shri 2026 in the field of Archaeological Science, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. During the meeting, Dr. Vyas briefed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav on his contributions to archaeological research. He shared that he had worked alongside Padma Shri Dr. Vishnu Shridhar Wakankar on research related to Bhimbetka, the renowned rock art site in Raisen district near Bhopal. He also contributed to research on the historic Rani ki Vav stepwell near Ahmedabad in Gujarat.
Dr. Vyas presented Chief Minister Dr. Yadav with publications related to his work in the field of archaeology and also apprised him of the Padma Shri honour and citation conferred upon him this year.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also interacted with Shri Gundecha and discussed his contributions and performances in the field of Indian classical music.
