Rajasthan: Bumper crop of gram and mustard but purchase from farmers on MSP will be less.
Procurement of mustard and gram will be started from April 1 in the state at the purchase centers of the district. But this time the government has decided to purchase only 25 quintals of mustard and gram per farmer, whereas last year the purchase was kept at 40 quintals.
This time there is good sowing of mustard and gram in Sawai Madhopur district. Also, this time there are indications of good production of mustard and gram per hectare. This time mustard was sown in 1 lakh 90 thousand hectares and gram in 20 thousand hectares in the district.
These days, there is bumper arrival of mustard in the agricultural produce market located on Alanpur Road at the district headquarters. At present the price of mustard is ranging from Rs 4505 to Rs 4970 per quintal, while the minimum support price of mustard is fixed at Rs 5650. The price of gram in the market is Rs 4955-5220 per quintal, while the price of gram at the minimum support price is Rs 5440 per quintal.
Nine centers have been set up for the purchase of gram and mustard by the Cooperative Buying and Selling Association Limited. These include Sawai Madhopur, Panchalos, Baunli, Bhadauti, Chauthkabarwada, Bhagwatgarh, Khandar, Bamanwas and Gangapur City centres. Farmers are required to bring Janadhar card, bank passbook, Aadhar card, Girdawari documents for online registration.
Online registration will be valid only in the name of the farmer in whose name there is Girdawari. Registration of one farmer in one Jan Aadhar card will be valid. Changes or amendments in the original Girdawari will not be valid without approval from the competent level. Patwari’s seal and mobile number must be mentioned on the Girdawari. Registration only on the basis of gathering will not be acceptable.
