KT Rama Rao Sends Legal Notice to Konda Surekha Over Remarks on Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s Divorce
KT Rama Rao, the working president of Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS), has issued a defamation notice to Telangana minister Konda Surekha following her controversial remarks. Surekha had linked Rao to the divorce of popular actors Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, prompting Rao to demand an immediate retraction of her statements.
In a statement posted on X, the BRS strongly condemned Surekha’s comments, refuting her allegations of phone tapping. The party asserted that her remarks were politically motivated and aimed at damaging Rao’s reputation.
Surekha alleged that KT Rama Rao was behind Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce and accused him of phone tapping and blackmailing actresses. These claims led to a major controversy, drawing sharp criticism from both BRS and actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
Samantha responded on Instagram, clarifying that her divorce was a personal, mutual, and amicable decision. She urged people to refrain from speculating about her personal life.
Nagarjuna also condemned Surekha’s remarks, calling for respect for the privacy of others and urging her to retract her statements. He emphasized that celebrities’ personal lives should not be dragged into political disputes.
Naga Chaitanya and Samantha announced their separation in October 2021, requesting privacy and understanding as they navigated the difficult phase. Both actors stated that they will continue to share a special bond despite their separation.
