Opposition parties’ ‘Save Democracy Rally’ at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, all leaders on stage

All the leaders of the Grand Alliance were present on the stage in the historic Ramlila Maidan of Delhi. The occasion was ‘Save Democracy Rally’. People also gathered in large numbers. This rally is being considered important before the Lok Sabha elections. This was the third big rally of the Grand Alliance after Mumbai and Patna.

This is the first major rally of the opposition alliance before the Lok Sabha elections. Apart from Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Rahul Gandhi, Uddhav Thackeray, Akhilesh Yadav, Sitaram Yechury, Mehbooba Mufti, Farooq Abdullah, Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita and Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana attended.

Uddhav Thackeray was the first to address the rally. Uddhav said- Kalpana Soren and Sunita Kejriwal are our sisters. When our sisters are fighting against this dictatorial government then how can brothers like us stay behind. I challenge BJP to put on its banner that the party which is with BJP is ED, CBI and IT.

Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal while addressing the rally said- Modi ji put my husband in jail, did he do the right thing? They will not be able to keep your Kejriwal in jail for long. Your Kejriwal is a lion. Lives in the minds of crores of people.

Sunita Kejriwal also read the message sent by Arvind from jail. He read out 6 guarantees of Kejriwal. First- 24 hours electricity in the entire country. Second- Free electricity to the poor. Third- Excellent government schools in every village and locality. Fourth- Clinic in every village and locality, multi-specialty hospital in the district. Fifth- MSP to farmers and sixth- full state status to Delhi.

Kalpana Soren, wife of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who is in jail in an alleged corruption case, said – the crowd gathered here today is testifying that the dictatorial forces have stepped forward to destroy democracy. The public will end it in this election.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren said – The land for which Hemant Soren was arrested is not mentioned in any book. When Hemant Soren started the work of uplifting the Dalits and backward classes of Jharkhand, BJP got a stomach ache. Our ancestors also fought a similar battle in Jharkhand. Today the message will go from here to the whole of India that we are all one. We will not allow the dictatorial ideology of the Bharatiya Janata Party to flourish anywhere.

NCP-SCP chief Sharad Pawar said – This government (central government) has arrested the CM of Delhi, CM of Jharkhand and has also put many other leaders of different states in jail. This action is an attack on democracy and the Constitution. It is our responsibility to save it (democracy).

Rahul said – This is the Constitution, it will not work with police and threats. They think that without the Constitution, the country can be run by intimidation, threats, CBI, ED. You can buy the media, you can silence the media reports but you cannot suppress the voice of the people. No power can suppress this voice. The BJP MP said that as soon as we win 400 seats by fixing matches, we will change the Constitution.

This fight is a fight to save the Constitution. If the Constitution is lost, the rights of the poor will be lost, the wealth of the poor will come into the hands of five-six people. Tell me which poor benefited from demonetization and GST? Which businessman benefited?

Rahul said- Congress is the biggest opposition party in the country. But our accounts have been frozen. We have to get posters printed, send workers to the states, but our accounts are frozen, so we are not able to do it. This is a complete attempt at match fixing. It is not just PM Modi who is doing this match fixing, he is getting it done by 3-4 big billionaires of the country. The only goal of this match fixing is that this match fixing is being done to snatch away the Constitution of this country which has given the right to live to the people of this country. The day this Constitution ends, this country will not survive.

These people (BJP) who are giving the slogan of crossing 400, if you were crossing 400 then why are you worried about the Aam Aadmi Party leader? You sent elected people and Chief Ministers to jail. The democracy for which India was respected in the world, today in the world the people who have caused the most trouble in the world have been done by the people of BJP. If you look at their 10 years of tenure, they are the most false party in the universe. They are not going to cross 400 but lose 400. If anyone has done the work of collecting maximum donations by threatening ED, CBI, then it has been done by BJP.

National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah said- Today our only objective is to save the Constitution. Man is being made to fight against man. All those leaders who have been jailed today. They will be able to come out only when you hold this mirror and when the election time comes you will have to vote. You will press the button that will defeat this regime. We all have to strengthen the INDIA alliance together.

Addressing the mega rally, former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said – We held the first rally in Patna, the second in Mumbai and the third is being held in Delhi. Wherever we are going in every corner of the country, people are supporting us there. According to which the work of dividing the country is being done. Politics of hatred is being done. We want you to support us in this fight. Those who raise the slogan that this time 400 will be crossed, they have a mouth, they will say anything but one thing is certain that the public is the master. When they (BJP) people are raising slogans, it seems that EVM setting has already been done. The declared emergency has come into force in the country. The biggest enemy in the country is unemployment, inflation and poverty.

Tejashwi Yadav said that today farmers are devastated, youth are worried but Prime Minister Modi does not have time to meet the farmers. If Modi ji meets, he will meet Priyanka Chopra, not farmers.

Today Advani ji was given Bharat Ratna. The President honored him, but Modi ji remained sitting. Earlier also we saw that the President was walking behind, Modi ji was walking ahead.
