PM Kisan Scheme Disburses ₹1,10,279 to Mizoram Farmers via DBT

Aizawl : On October 4, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the PM Kisan scheme in Washim, Maharashtra, announcing the 18th installment of financial assistance for farmers. In Mizoram, a total of 1,10,279 farmers will benefit from this scheme, with ₹9.4 crore disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). This marks the second installment for the year 2024.

The program was conducted online, with participation from Pi Ramdinliani, Special Secretary for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, alongside the Director and Additional Director of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department. District Agriculture Officers (DAOs) across various districts also participated online in the program.

Launched in 2019, the PM Kisan scheme aims to provide financial support to farmers through DBT, promoting digital initiatives in agriculture. Under this scheme, farmers receive ₹2,000 every four months, totaling ₹6,000 annually per beneficiary.

Farmers facing difficulties in providing their details or encountering issues are encouraged to register or update their information promptly. Those who have not yet registered should take the necessary steps to do so. For assistance, they can visit their respective District Agriculture Offices or the Project Monitoring Unit under the Directorate of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare associated with PM KISAN.
