Governor Meets with U.S. Ambassador Eric Garcetti and Delegation, Extends State’s Welcome

Jaipur : On Monday, a five-member delegation led by the United States Ambassador, Mr. Eric Garcetti, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Rajasthan, Mr. Haribhau Bagde, at the Raj Bhavan. The delegation included Mr. Aaron, Deputy Director of the U.S. Embassy; Senior Political Advisor Mr. A. Sukesh; Alexander White; and Political Officer at the U.S. Embassy, Ms. Hina Rao.

During the meeting, Mr. Garcetti shared his experiences in India with the Governor. He praised India’s culture of unity in diversity and the warmth of its people, noting that Rajasthan is a state filled with a sense of belonging. Mr. Garcetti also mentioned his tenure as the 42nd Mayor of Los Angeles in 2013. He shared his efforts in transforming Los Angeles into a green city, attracting investment, and his experiences as the U.S. Ambassador to India.

As a memento of the visit, Governor Bagde presented Mr. Garcetti with a commemorative gift symbolizing the Rajasthan journey. Also present at the meeting were Mr. Jogaram, Secretary of the General Administration Department; Dr. Prithvi, Secretary to the Governor; and Sushma Arora, Managing Director of Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation.
