720 Nomination Papers Filed by 552 Candidates from the State for 288 Constituencies as of Today

Mumbai : Today marks the third day for filing nomination papers for the elections in 288 constituencies of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. On the third day, October 24, 2024, a total of 720 nomination papers have been filed by 552 candidates from the state, according to information from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer.

The model code of conduct for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly general elections has been in effect since October 15, 2024, and the election notification was published on October 22, 2024. The nomination process is underway, with the last date for filing nominations set for October 29. The scrutiny of these applications will take place on October 30, and candidates will be able to withdraw their nominations until November 4, 2024. Voting will occur on November 20, and the counting of votes will take place on November 23, 2024.
