“Jaipur Dialogues 2024: Governor Highlights India’s Cultural Legacy and Global Equality”
Jaipur : Governor Shri Haribhau Bagde stated that India is a nation with a vibrant culture, and it has been the cradle of the world’s intellectual, spiritual, and cultural heritage. He noted that India has taught the world the principle of universal equality through the concept of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family). He added that the celebration of 100 years of independence is an opportunity to ‘restore India’s past glory.’ He called for collective efforts to reflect on the country’s rich knowledge traditions and unique history and to work towards making India a world leader once again.
Shri Bagde was addressing the annual event of ‘Jaipur Dialogues 2024’ at a private hotel on Friday. He emphasized that India should emerge as an economic and cultural superpower in the world. He stressed that it is time to reconnect with our cultural and civilizational roots. Referring to ancient India’s role as a center of global trade, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (self-reliant India) aligns with this context. The Prime Minister’s five pledges – a developed India, elimination of mental colonialism, pride in our heritage, unity of citizens, and commitment to duties – reflect a natural extension of the core principles of our civilization.
The Governor also highlighted the need to work in educational institutions to enhance the intellectual capabilities of students, inculcate patriotism with morality, and inspire them with the ideals of great personalities. He urged everyone to come together for the development of a ‘future developed India.’
Earlier, former Indian Administrative Service officer and founder of Jaipur Dialogues, Shri Sanjay Dixit, elaborated on the comprehensive vision of ‘Reclaiming Bharat’ under the ‘Jaipur Dialogues 2024.’
