Meeting Held to Plan Children’s Day Celebrations in Saitual

Saitual : A meeting to plan the upcoming Children’s Day celebrations in Saitual was held today at 11:00 AM in the DC Conference Room, chaired by District Magistrate Dr. Lalngura Tlau.

During the meeting, Dr. Lalngura Tlau noted that Saitual District has been successfully celebrating Children’s Day since 2022, and expressed appreciation for the efforts made by various departments to continue this tradition. He emphasized that children need opportunities for recreation and growth, and that this year’s Children’s Day, known as “Naupangte Ni,” is expected to provide an enjoyable and memorable experience for them. He also commended the cooperation and preparations made by various departments and urged continued efforts for the district’s development.

The meeting confirmed that Children’s Day will be observed on the 29th of November, 2024, at the Keifang Centenary Sports Complex, with a detailed program scheduled. On the same day, World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse will also be commemorated, with awards for awareness initiatives. The celebrations will feature a variety of activities and recreational programs for children.

The meeting was presided over by Dr. Lalngura Tlau, with Mr. James Lalthangmawia, DCPO, serving as Secretary. Representatives from various line departments, voluntary organizations, and the Keifang Centenary Sports Complex Committee also attended the meeting.
