Home Voting for 103 Senior Citizens and 11 Disabled Voters in Mumbadevi Assembly Constituency

Mumbai : Voting for the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly General Election is underway. In Mumbai City District, a home voting service has been arranged for senior citizens over 85 years of age and disabled voters, who have filled out Form 12-D and are unable to visit polling stations. Under this arrangement, a total of 103 senior citizens and 11 disabled voters in the Mumbadevi Assembly Constituency voted from home through postal voting teams today.

In the Mumbadevi Constituency, there are 118 senior citizens above 85 years, out of which 103 applied, as well as 11 out of 13 disabled voters, who submitted Form 12-D to the Election Officer. Home postal voting was conducted today for these 114 applicants.

Across the ten constituencies in Mumbai City District, 2,137 senior citizens over 85 years and 219 disabled voters are eligible for home postal voting. The home voting process will be completed by November 16, 2024.

The Election Commission of India has welcomed this home voting facility for senior citizens and disabled voters and expressed gratitude to the postal voting teams.
