Sensitive initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai : Strike of committee managers and employees ends
On the sensitive initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the strike of managers and employees of Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Societies ended. On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Sai, the demand of salary hike pending for 6 years of the committee employees was fulfilled within 24 hours by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies and the salary and allowances of the committee employees were increased by 25 percent. Along with this, appropriate action is being taken by forming an inter-departmental committee at the government level in respect of the other 2 demands. On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Sai, for the first time after the year 2018, the salaries and allowances of about 13 thousand employees of cooperative societies have been increased by 25 percent.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai himself took cognizance of the demands of the employees and directed the departmental officers to resolve them. In this regard, a positive discussion was held with the departmental officers on November 10 in front of Chief Minister Shri Sai regarding the demands of the employees of the cooperative societies. The Chief Minister gave instructions regarding the immediate resolution of the demands of the employees.
25 percent increase in the salary and allowances of the employees of the committee
In compliance with the instructions of the Chief Minister, orders were issued by the Commissioner of Cooperative Department to amend the Cooperative Society Employees Service Rules on 11 November 2024. In this, a 25 percent increase in the salary and allowances of the employees of the committee has been approved, due to which all the employees are happy and cheerful.
A letter to this effect has also been issued by the Food Department that within one month of the end of paddy procurement, paddy will be lifted by the Rice Millers and Marketing Federation, if even after this paddy remains in the procurement centers, then the proposal regarding giving paddy drying to the cooperative societies will be sent by the Food Department to the Finance Department.
Regarding the resolution of other demands of the employees, an inter-departmental committee has been formed, including the Food Department, Finance Department, Agriculture Department, Cooperative Department and Marketing Federation, which will consider the demands of the employees’ union and send a proposal to the government for resolution.
The employees have expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for resolving the demands of the employees of cooperative societies with sensitivity.
Employees returned to work in their respective committees
All the employees have returned to work in their respective committees and have started making proper arrangements for the paddy procurement starting from 14 November 2024. The employees have also assured that the farmers will not face any kind of difficulty during paddy procurement. All necessary preparations in paddy procurement centers will be completed by 13 November 2024.
Commissioner Cooperative and Registrar Cooperative Societies Shri Kuldeep Sharma has given instructions to all the departmental employees and officers to ensure smooth procurement of paddy with complete transparency. He has also given instructions to the officers to continuously inspect and supervise the procurement centers during paddy procurement.
The strike being carried out by Chhattisgarh Cooperative Society Employees Union from 4 November 2024 has been declared over today. Chhattisgarh Cooperative Society Employees Federation President Shri Narendra Sahu, while declaring the strike of the committee employees over, has said that all the committee employees are committed to implement all the schemes of the government at the committee level. The Employees Federation has written a letter to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, Cooperative Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Food Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Additional Chief Secretary of Food Department Smt. Richa Sharma, Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Basav Raju S., Secretary Cooperation Dr. C.R. Thanks have been expressed to Prasanna, Commissioner and Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Chhattisgarh, Mr. Kuldeep Sharma, Managing Director, Apex Bank, Mr. K.N. Kandey and other officials.
