State Government to Launch Panch-Gaurav Program in All Districts, Focus on One Product, Plant Species, Product, Tourist Spot, and Sport in Each District – Program to be Inaugurated on the First Anniversary of the Government
Jaipur : Under the direction of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government is launching a new program to promote five-dimensional development on the occasion of the first anniversary of the government’s tenure. This initiative, named Panch-Gaurav, aims to promote and enhance the distinctive features of each district.
According to the information received, the state government will focus on one crop, one plant species, one product, one tourist spot, and one sport in each district as part of the Panch-Gaurav program. These five elements, identified in each district, will be recognized as the Panch-Gaurav of that district.
As Rajasthan is the largest state in the country, it has varied geographical conditions in different districts. This results in the cultivation of different crops and the presence of various plant species in the state. Similarly, the availability of different minerals and production of unique products also varies across the districts. Every year, a large number of tourists visit the tourist spots in different districts of the state. In addition, certain sports are particularly popular among the residents of various districts.
In line with Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma’s vision for the comprehensive development of these districts and based on available opportunities, the government will focus on economic activities and employment generation by promoting, preserving, and developing these elements. For example, in Dholpur district, the production of skimmed milk powder and potato farming, and in Baran district, soybean processing and garlic production, will be included in this scheme.
At the state level, the Agriculture Department will be the nodal department for one district-one crop, the Forest Department for one district-one plant species, the Industry Department for one district-one product, the Tourism Department for one district-one tourist spot, and the Sports Department for one district-one sport.
The District Collector of each district will coordinate with these departments to ensure the effective implementation of this program.
