Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah addressed a massive public gathering in support of BJP candidate Shri Anil Baluni in Kotdwar, Uttarakhand, on Tuesday. He urged the people to ensure Baluni’s victory from Prachanda Bahut constituency, paving the way for Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s third consecutive term with 400 seats. The event saw the presence of Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, former Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat, State BJP President Shri Mahendra Bhatt, former Chief Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Uttarakhand Government Minister Shri Satpal Maharaj, Lok Sabha candidate from Garhwal Shri Anil Baluni, and other party leaders, alongside senior officials.

Shri Amit Shah highlighted the significance of the upcoming Ram Navami celebration, noting that Lord Shri Ram’s birthday would be commemorated in a grand temple after 500 years. He criticized the Congress Party for delaying the resolution of the centuries-old Ram temple issue and commended the BJP-led government, led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, for swiftly addressing it. Shah also underscored the implementation of the Equal Civil Code in Uttarakhand, a long-standing promise now realized under BJP governance.

Emphasizing the invaluable contribution of Uttarakhand to the Indian Armed Forces, Shah lauded the state’s high representation in the army. He credited the BJP government for fulfilling the promise of One Rank One Pension and highlighted the party’s commitment to the welfare of armed forces personnel.

Shah outlined the transformative initiatives undertaken in Uttarakhand under BJP rule, including infrastructural development, tourism promotion, and connectivity enhancement. He praised Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami for his proactive governance and stressed the importance of tourism in stemming migration from the region. Shah highlighted key projects such as the Chardham Highway, Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor, and infrastructure investments aimed at fostering economic growth and improving connectivity.

Taking a swipe at the Congress Party, Shah criticized its historical neglect of Uttarakhand and lauded Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s efforts in uplifting the state. He condemned Congress for its inaction on critical issues such as terrorism and praised Modi’s decisive actions, including the abolition of Article 370 and the provision of citizenship to persecuted minorities.

Shah hailed BJP candidate Shri Anil Baluni’s contributions to Uttarakhand’s development and urged voters to elect him to further the state’s progress. He highlighted Baluni’s initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic and his efforts in promoting tourism and infrastructure development. Shah expressed confidence in Baluni’s ability to represent Garhwal effectively and urged voters to support him and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi by voting for the BJP.
