BJP’s historic victory is public endorsement of ‘Ek rahenge, Safe rahenge’: Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attributed the resounding victories in the UP Assembly by-election and Maharashtra to the leadership and vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating, “This victory is the people’s endorsement of ‘Ek Rahenge, Safe Rahenge.’”

Speaking at a press conference at the BJP state headquarters on Saturday, CM Yogi described PM Modi as a worshipper of Ram and the nation, declaring that Uttar Pradesh offers seven lotus flowers to the BJP’s ‘Vijayotsav.’ The Chief Minister received a warm and celebratory welcome from BJP leaders and workers following the by-election triumph.

Calling BJP’s historic win a ‘Vijayotsav,’ CM Yogi remarked, “Today is a significant day. The results of the Maharashtra and Jharkhand Assembly elections, along with by-elections in various states, have been declared. In the by-elections for nine Assembly seats in UP, the BJP alliance secured victory in seven constituencies.”

He credited this remarkable success to the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing that the double-engine government is progressing on the path of security, good governance, and prosperity, effectively implementing public welfare initiatives at the grassroots level.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted that the BJP secured over 52% of the votes in the UP by-election, while in Maharashtra, the party is leading on 131 seats. The Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) has won 55 seats, and the NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) has secured 40 seats, giving the NDA a combined tally of 226 seats.

“The people of the country are rejecting negative and divisive politics. This is why we say, ‘Batenge to katenge. Ek rahenge-Safe rahenge’ (If we divide, we will be cut; if we remain united, we will be safe).’ The mandate reflects the people’s desire to strengthen national integrity,” he said.

CM Yogi described the victory as a testament to the people’s faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. “The public firmly believes that Modi Ji’s leadership, his policies and decisions serve the best interests of the nation and society. This victory is an endorsement of that belief. Heartiest congratulations to all BJP workers who dedicated themselves fully to communicating the achievements of the double-engine government to the people,” he added.

Emphasizing the alignment of heritage and development, Yogi remarked, “We are witnessing a unique synchronization of security, good governance, and prosperity in the country. What once seemed like a dream is now a reality. The victory in seven seats is a tribute from Uttar Pradesh to PM Modi’s leadership, represented as seven lotus flowers.”

He specifically named the constituencies of Meerapur, Katehari, Ghaziabad, Kundarki, Khair, Majhawan, and Phulpur, where the BJP emerged victorious. “The win in Kundarki, in particular, symbolizes the triumph of nationalism. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the people. The public has decisively rejected the politics of loot and lies perpetuated by the SP and the INDI alliance, marking the end of such divisive strategies,” he remarked.

CM Yogi Adityanath described the BJP’s victory in Maharashtra as “tremendous, unprecedented, and historic.” He called it a testament to the faith of the new Maharashtra in the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whom he described as a worshipper of Ram and the nation.

“This is a victory of the ideals of Chhatrapati Shivaji and a defeat of those who insulted Baba Saheb,” he remarked, noting that the INDI alliance failed to secure as many seats combined as the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), an ally of the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the entire nation is standing united under PM Modi’s leadership. “This victory symbolizes the people’s triumph, reflecting the hopes and aspirations of villages, the poor, farmers, women, youth, the elderly, and the underprivileged. It is a decisive defeat for those who seek power through the shortcuts of appeasement and communalism,” he said.

He also credited the hard work of BJP workers, stating, “Today, the resolution of lakhs of BJP workers has been fulfilled.”

While congratulating the winning candidates, CM Yogi Adityanath remarked that since the polling day, the SP had been making baseless claims about the UP elections, and the people have given them a fitting response.

Highlighting BJP’s significant victories, he noted, “In Kundarki, BJP is winning by 1.25 lakh votes, while the SP candidate has lost his deposit. This is a victory of nationalism. In Ghaziabad, we secured a win by 70,000 votes, in Phulpur by 11,000 votes, in Khair by over 38,000 votes, and in Katehari by more than 35,000 votes. In Meerapur, our ally RLD’s candidate triumphed by over 30,000 votes, while in Majhawan, the BJP candidate emerged victorious by more than 4,000 votes.”

Commenting on the SP’s performance, CM Yogi said, “In Sisamau, SP won by only 8,000 votes compared to a margin of 12,000 in 2022. Similarly, in Karhal, where SP won by 67,000 votes in 2022, the margin has reduced to just 14,000 this time. It is evident that the lotus will bloom there in the next elections. Although we have not won in Sisamau and Karhal, a significant number of people have shown faith in nationalism. For this, I extend special thanks to the people of these constituencies.”

The press conference saw the presence of BJP State President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya, Cabinet Ministers Swatantra Dev Singh, Dara Singh Chauhan, JPS Rathore, Organization General Secretary Dharampal, MLC Dr. Mahendra Singh, and a large number of BJP leaders and officials.
