Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji while addressing a public rally in Sarguja (Chhattisgarh).

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji addressed a public rally in Surguja in Chhattisgarh on Wednesday criticized the Congress manifesto, stating that it appeared to be aimed at appeasing voters rather than addressing genuine issues. During this event, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, state Cabinet Ministers Shri Ram Bichar Netam, Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Smt Laxmi Rajwade and other leaders were present. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi commenced by commending Shri Vishnu Deo Sai for his effective governance in the state.

Hon’ble Prime Minister commenced his address by seeking the blessings of Ma Mahamayi. Shri Narendra Modi recalled that when the Bharatiya Janata Party nominated him as the candidate for Prime Minister, the people in Ambikapur built a symbolic red fort. He mentioned that the entire group within the Congress ecosystem criticized him, questioning how the red fort could be built. Shri Narendra Modi highlighted that, it was because of the public’s support that he reached the red fort and delivered a message to the nation. Today also the Ambikapur region is showering blessings for “Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar”.

Shri Modi mentioned that several months ago, he sought the blessings of the people to remove the corrupt Congress party from Chhattisgarh and the people upheld his request. He emphasized that today, because of the people’s support, a member of the tribal community is fulfilling Chhattisgarh’s dreams after assuming the role of the state’s CM. Shri Vishnu Deo Sai is making quick progress on the state’s development. Although it’s been a short time, Shri Vishnu Deo has managed the government with incredible speed. Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s government has met the guarantee to provide funds to farmers and now tendu patta collectors are also earning more money, with tendu patta purchases moving rapidly. Women in Chhattisgarh have benefited from the Mahatari Vandan Yojana. Shri Narendra Modi noted that the actions taken against the corrupt members of the Congress party in Chhattisgarh is witnessed by the whole nation. Shri Narendra Modi expressed that today, he seeks the people’s blessings for ‘Viksit Bharat, Viksit Chhattisgarh’.

Describing Congress as the opponent of “developed India”, respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that his vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ agitates Congress members and certain global powers because a strong India would disrupt their plans. If India becomes Atmanirbhar, it would threaten the business interests of some forces. This is why they want a weak government from the Congress and INDI alliance in India—a government that infights and engages in corruption. PM Shri Narendra Modi ji emphasized that the history of the Congress party is marked by the destruction of the country in its quest for power. Terrorism spread in the country because of Congress, and Naxalism also increased under their watch. Congress’ mismanagement and negligence have contributed to the country’s decline. The BJP government is taking strong action against terrorism and Naxalism, while Congress supports those who incite violence. When people kill innocents and attack police and security forces, Congress calls them martyrs. By doing so, Congress disrespects the nation’s true martyrs and heroes.

Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi asserted that a senior Congress leader’s shed tears for terrorists has eroded public trust in the Congress party. Shri Modi highlighted his earlier observation, made on the day of the Congress manifesto launch, regarding the manifesto’s resemblance to the Muslim League’s agenda. Shri Modi referred to the constitutional principles outlined by Baba Saheb Ambedkar during the drafting stage and underscored that reservation based on religion was not endorsed. Instead, reservation was intended for Dalits and Adivasis, irrespective of religious affiliation. However, Shri Modi criticized the Congress in Andhra Pradesh for attempting to introduce religious-based reservation, disregarding the constitutional sanctity and Ambedkar’s guidance. He condemned the Congress’ proposal for 15% religious-based reservation, which would diminish quotas for SC/ST and OBC communities. Shri Modi cited the Congress’s manifesto from 2009 and 2014, reiterating the party’s commitment to religious-based reservation, even at the expense of reducing reservation for Dalits and Adivasis.

Shri Modi highlighted that a few years ago, the Congress government in Karnataka introduced religion-based reservation, which was later repealed by the BJP government to uphold constitutional principles and secure the rights of Dalits, Adivasis, and Backwards. However, Shri Modi criticized the Karnataka Congress government for including all castes within the Muslim community in the OBC quota, thereby depriving benefits from the OBC community. He described this action as a “murder of social justice and secularism.” Shri Modi cautioned against the Congress’s desire to implement the Karnataka model nationwide, which he argued would alter the constitution and allocate rights based on specific vote banks, undermining the rights of SC/ST and OBC communities.

Criticizing Congress for keeping an eye on women’s jewellery, respected Prime Minister emphasized that the Bharatiya Janata Party government is the only one capable of safeguarding the reservation rights of SC/ST and OBC communities from the Congress. He urged the public to support the BJP across the nation to prevent the Congress from succeeding in its detrimental intentions. PM Shri Narendra Modi highlighted the announcement by the ‘Shehzada of Congress’ to scrutinize the entire resources of the country, expressing concerns that Congress may provoke women with modest jewelry holdings. Prime Minister Modi also pointed out previous suggestions from advisors to the Congress’s royal family advocating higher taxes on the middle class. He criticized the Congress for proposing an Inheritance Tax, including levies on parental inheritance, and warned against the Congress’s alleged intentions to seize hard-earned property from the publicThe Mantra of Congress party is ‘Congress ki Loot: Zindagi Ke Saath Bhi, Zindagi Ke Baad Bhi’. Shri Modi emphasized that the Congress party’s approach entails imposing higher taxes on individuals during their lifetime and burdening them with Inheritance Tax after their demise. He criticized those who have treated the Congress party as their family heirloom, passing it down to their children, while simultaneously advocating against Indians passing on their property to their offspring.

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji stated that India, with its deep-rooted traditions and culture, is not a consumerist nation. The people of India value saving, preserving, and protecting resources. India’s natural environment is preserved today because of these values. Indians prefer to work hard and spend according to their needs, while naturally being inclined to save. The Congress party is attacking India’s fundamental values. Shri Narendra Modi suggested that those who constantly criticize him should scrutinize the Congress party’s record.

Shri Modi said that when he mentioned that urban Naxals had taken control of the Congress, the Congress members felt the need to say something to please America. So, to strike a balance, the Congress pretended to shift its stance. Congress aims to plunder the wealth and rights of the people and their children. During Congress’ years in power, the funds meant for the people were stolen. But since the BJP government came to power, these funds are being spent on the people. This money is providing nearly 13 lakh families in Chhattisgarh with Pucca houses and is giving free ration to lakhs of families, as well as up to ₹5 lakh in free medical treatment. It is ‘Modi ki guarantee’ that after June 4th, the government will cover the medical expenses of the elderly in every family in Chhattisgarh.

Hon’ble Prime Minister noted that nearly 1 lakh farmers in Surguja have received over 200 crore rupees in their accounts under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme and this support will continue in the future. Surguja has nearly 50 areas where Pahari Korwa families reside. Numerous backward tribes such as Pankod, Maaji, and Mandwaar also live in this region. For the first time, the BJP government has created a ₹24,000 crore PM Jan Man Yojana for all these tribes. This scheme will bring facilities like Pucca homes, electricity, water, education, health, and skill development to the villages of backward tribes.

Shri Modi underscored that in the last 10 years, despite various challenges, many projects have been completed in Chhattisgarh for railways, roads, hospitals, and mobile towers. The long-standing demand for an airport has been fulfilled. The train from Ambikapur to Delhi has increased convenience. In the past 10 years, the government has done so much for the welfare of the poor and the tribal population. But all of this is just the trailer, much more needs to be done in the next 5 years. Surguja is like “Swargja”, i.e.the daughter of heaven. It boasts natural beauty, art, culture, and temples. This region needs to be taken much further, for this, the people must make the ‘lotus’ bloom at every polling booth.”
