Jaipur : On the second day of the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, an in-depth discussion on supply chain and manufacturing was held during the USA Country Session on Tuesday. This session was addressed by Rajasthan’s Minister of Medical and Health, Shri Gajendra Singh. He stated that Rajasthan is no longer just a desert state but a land of emerging opportunities. He highlighted that the India-USA partnership is highly beneficial for economic prosperity and job creation.
He mentioned that India and the USA are the two largest democracies in the world, and India is on its way to becoming the third-largest economic democracy soon. He noted that American companies are already operating more than 1,000 industries in India, with companies like Apple establishing a strong presence in the country. Emphasizing Rajasthan’s role, he highlighted that the state covers 30% of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor and its geographical location is ideal for industries and logistics.
Rajasthan – An Ideal State for Investment
Minister Shri Gajendra Singh stated that projects such as expressway connectivity, the Bharatmala Project, and the PM Gati Shakti Portal have provided an excellent infrastructure for investors. He highlighted the state’s young workforce and abundance of talent. He attributed the summit’s success to the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the commitment of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma.
Focus on Technological Innovation and Global Partnership
At the beginning of the session, UDH Principal Secretary Shri Vaibhav Galaria discussed technological innovation in supply chain management, GST implementation, and Rajasthan’s capabilities in logistics.
Experts Shared Their Views During the Session
- Chandrakant Salunkhe highlighted investment and contract manufacturing opportunities for SMEs.
- Rajinder Singh Bhatia spoke on strategic aspects of manufacturing and supply chain.
- Dr. Anirban Adhikari discussed challenges in sustainability within the supply chain.
- Dr. Brijesh Barse presented ideas on sustainability in healthcare and agriculture supply chains.
Rajasthan Moving Towards Shared Prosperity
At the conclusion of the session, the speakers emphasized shared strategies to establish Rajasthan as a key defense manufacturing hub and a global investment center. Finally, Shri Galaria stated that the Rising Rajasthan Summit has not only established the state as an attractive investment destination but also created new opportunities to elevate economic cooperation between India and the USA to new heights.
