Rising Rajasthan to be Held Again in 2026, Progress of MOUs to be Reviewed on December 11, 2025 – Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma

Jaipur : Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India will emerge as the world’s strongest economy by 2047, with Rajasthan positioned as one of the leading states. He emphasized that Rajasthani entrepreneurs are present in every corner of the world and are scaling new heights in economic and social spheres. The Union Minister assured that the central government would support establishing advanced technology labs in premier institutions like IIT Jodhpur and Central University in Rajasthan. He also praised the state’s 11% growth rate, achieved despite challenging geographical conditions, as a testament to the hard work of its people.

Speaking at the closing session of the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, Minister Pradhan commended Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma for successfully organizing the summit in the government’s first year and highlighted that Rajasthan is achieving new milestones under his leadership.

Entrepreneurial Spirit Innate in Rajasthanis

Pradhan remarked that Rajasthan is not just a capital-producing state but also a knowledge-driven economy, home to world-class institutions such as IITs, IIMs, and AIIMS. He emphasized that while the country needs job creators more than job seekers, Rajasthanis naturally possess entrepreneurial skills. He envisioned Jaipur and Jaisalmer becoming global economic hubs in the future and lauded the summit’s pivotal role in steering this vision.

Highlighting the energy sector, Pradhan noted that the summit witnessed a significant number of MOUs signed in this field, describing it as a progressive step. India, as the third-largest energy consumer globally, is set to lead in green and renewable energy, with Rajasthan taking a prominent position. The investments will generate resources, income, and infrastructure, propelling the state to the forefront of development. He further commented that Rajasthan, once considered a “sick state,” is now transitioning toward “Rising Rajasthan.”

Rajasthan: A New Hub for Innovation and Investment – Chief Minister

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma affirmed that the state government is fully committed to implementing the MOUs signed during the summit and will review their progress on December 11, 2025. He announced that Rising Rajasthan will be organized again in 2026. The Chief Minister expressed confidence in Rajasthan’s potential to excel in entrepreneurship and innovation, describing it as an emerging center for innovation and investment. Over ₹35 lakh crore worth of MOUs were signed during the summit.

State Initiatives to Promote Industries

Highlighting key government decisions, the Chief Minister revealed plans to establish 11 new industrial zones with over ₹1,200 crore in approved funding, allocate land for five new industrial areas, and develop eight industrial zones through RIICO. To elevate Rajasthan’s cultural heritage on a global platform, he pledged to double the number of GI-tagged products within three years, aligning with PM Modi’s vision of “Development with Heritage.”

Boosting Investment Through Policies

Sharma outlined the government’s efforts to bolster investment, citing the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Policy-2024 and nine other policies designed to attract investors. He emphasized the MSME sector’s vital role in contributing 25% to the state’s GSDP and its significant export share. He also unveiled the Rajasthan Export Promotion Policy 2024, aiming to assist new entrepreneurs in becoming exporters by offering financial aid for export processes and documentation. Under the One District One Product Policy 2024, local craftsmanship is being promoted globally, supporting the “Vocal for Local” initiative.

A Vision for a Developed Rajasthan

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari praised CM Sharma’s leadership, noting that Rajasthan is now recognized not only for tourism but also for its industrial potential. She described the summit as a milestone in achieving the goal of a developed Rajasthan and highlighted initiatives to enhance tourism infrastructure, branding, and promotion.

Deputy CM Dr. Premchand Bairwa commended the collective efforts behind the summit, which he described as a historic event for the state and the nation. He highlighted the roadshows conducted worldwide to showcase Rajasthan’s investment opportunities and stressed that collaborative efforts can achieve even the most ambitious goals.

Exhibition and Stakeholder Engagement

Earlier, CM Sharma toured various exhibitor booths, inspecting modern weaponry at the “Building a Secure Nation” booth, taking a virtual tour of Hindustan Zinc’s mines using 3D IVR technology, and operating a robotic dog at the iStart Rajasthan booth. He also visited booths showcasing Indian Railways projects and innovations from Syntech, Dhoot Marbles, Hingonia Rehabilitation Center, and the Embassy of Denmark.

The summit saw participation from World Bank Country Head Auguste Tano Kouamé, state ministers, officials, and numerous MSME entrepreneurs. The Chief Minister thanked all stakeholders, emphasizing that the summit’s new ideas would inspire a brighter future for Rajasthan.
