Recruitment of forest guards is going on with transparency and fairness: Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap

Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap has said that the recruitment process of forest guards in the state is going on with complete transparency and fairness. He has said that all the arrangements regarding the recruitment process in the state have been made efficient and the officials associated with this process have been asked to remain vigilant. In compliance with which, the Forest Department has ensured fair selection by using state-of-the-art techniques and well-organized systems in the physical measurement and efficiency test process under direct recruitment for 1,484 posts, which is being appreciated by the candidates. The candidates said that this transparent and state-of-the-art process adopted by the Forest Department not only sets an example of fairness and transparency in the recruitment process, but also strengthens the ideals of good governance.

It is noteworthy that the physical measurement and efficiency test for forest guard posts has started from November 16. These tests include the height and chest measurement of the candidates as well as events like 200 m and 800 m race, long jump, and shot put. The performance of the candidates is being evaluated on the basis of accurate time and distance. Similarly, modern technologies have been used in the recruitment process. BIB number and electronic chip are provided to the eligible candidates. This electronic chip records the exact time of the candidates during the race. Laser-based machines are being used for long jump and shot put. All the data is being recorded immediately on the central server. This ensures transparency in data management. Apart from this, CCTV cameras and facial recognition system monitor the entire process. Candidates are told their scores on the spot, on which their signatures are taken. In case of any dispute, the problem is being resolved by showing CCTV footage.

Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force Shri V. Srinivas Rao said that as per the vision of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and under the leadership of Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, the department is committed to conduct the recruitment process with fairness and transparency. By following technological innovations and strict guidelines, this process is not only efficient but also strengthens the confidence of the candidates. He informed that the recruitment process is being supervised by the Forest Divisional Officer and a team of 140-150 forest employees. Physical Training Instructors of the School Education Department have also been included as experts to oversee the recruitment process. Special attention has been given to the convenience of the candidates, which includes drinking water, ORS, first aid kits, clean toilets, changing rooms, luggage storage, parking and medical assistance. Reserve days have also been kept for the fitness test of candidates who are absent due to illness or other reasons.
